Are our pest control methods safe?
We use pesticides in accordance with the manufacturer’s label directions and applicable regulations. All products we use are registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and regulated by the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR). Depending on the treatment, we may ask you to leave the home or business for a period of time and keep people and pets away from treated areas until it is safe to return based on the product label. Your safety is of the utmost importance to us.
Will you be required to vacate your home or business during each service?
It depends on the pest that we are treating. Most services are completed without having to vacate the home or business. However, some pests’ treatment requires a customer to vacate for up to 4 hours.
How long before a pet can go into yard after treatment?
This depends on the weather. If it is a warm or hot day, the pesticide typically takes 15-20 minutes to dry. Our recommendation is, once the ground is completely dry, only then can your pets go into the yard.
Will the pesticides stain my floor or baseboards?
We are cautious and conscientious about our customers’ property. There are some pesticides out there that stain, but we try to stay away from those types of pesticides.
How do we treat ants?
We use a special chemical that is non-repellent. The reason for this is that ants can detect standard repellents, like an aerosol spray. The non-repellent chemical will be carried down into the nest to kill the colony, rather than just a few on the surface. Also, we use sugar bait on the home or business interior if ants come up from places that the non-repellent chemical can’t be sprayed on.
How to get rid of spiders?
The chemical we use is a two part chemical. One part is a knockdown, and the other part is a residual. Also, we will use a special broom called a webster to remove the reachable spider webs. The reason we do this to monitor the spider activity and deter the spiders away.
How do you tell if you have bed bugs?
Bed bugs leave black marks on your bedsheets and the seam of the mattress. Also, you will normally have multiple large bites on you.
How often do you need to do service?
There are many factors to selecting the right pest control plan for you. Some pests, like spiders, require more frequent services, where other pests don’t need as many. This is the reason why we offer customized pest control plans. Another factor might be money. The more frequent the service, the more it costs.
