The common bed bug has long been a pest that feeds on blood, causing itchy bites and generally irritating their human hosts. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) all consider bed bugs a public health pest. However, unlike most public health pests, bed bugs are not known to transmit or spread disease.
Bed bugs are the hardest and probably one more expensive pest to deal with. The reason it is so hard to get rid is because they resist standard residual pesticides. The reason it is expensive is becuase the best way to treat them is to tent the house, just like termites. Although, there are other methods, none of them are able to be guaranteed to get rid of the bed bugs. For more information on this process, please call Eric The Bug Guy.
